Oh happy day!! I think we have entered a new era. This will be so much fun once we get it going. I first went to Hoelting.blogspot without the "s" and it was Leroy Hoeltings family and pictures. Many thanks, Kelli and any who set this up. Your work computer may block it however so see what works!!!
I just added hoeltings.blogspot.com to my list of favorites so I can get right to it when my panel comes up. Too much fun. Now we can see new baby pictures.
Hello I watched Eric and Travis rope last night and I know fully well I am not anywhere near a cowgirl!!! All is fine here. I hope I am able to get on and visit with you. I love this.
Neal is at Mom and Dad's. Neal and Henry are busy trimming trees and working at the home place. It is looking great! It was fun to see all my neices and nephews and all their sweet little babies. What a cool family I belong to. Encourage your family members to sign up, I'm telling mine.
This is so nice I check it out every day to see who and if anyone had any news. I just came from Brad's and saw Makenna she is sure growing as is Kinley. I will have to have Lynn or Stacy show me how to do pictures. Have a great weekend. We are going to the beef feast tonight and Lynn and Justin and Brad and Monica are watching all the kids tonight and will try to watch the Bears!!!!
I fully admit, I am having a little bit of a hard time with this. How do you start your own "blog" subject? Is that what we plan to do, or just keep typing on this one?
If any of you read the round robin, you know that it reads like a newspaper. You do not have to blog at all unless you have news or noteworthy information/pictures. You are certainly welcome to comment at any time but it is not a live chat.Continue to send the current round robin on until everyone gets all their stuff back. On that note, the Emporia Gazette did an article on the 40th annual St. Joe's BBQ. The reporter went to Mom and Dad's this week and did a big article. You can read the story online at www.emporiagazette.com but the pictures do not show up. Dad was on the front page, toothpick, overalls and all. You'll be proud of their tremendous effort and leadership in saving the school. Hats off to Neal and Trish for covering the last 2 weekends with Mom. Thank you so much. It is a massive job.
I put Booker down last night. In addition to being blind and deaf he was falling often. After the vet made him pass, I buried him in our yard in a small grave JP had dug for Booker. I did well until I heard a small dog yip. I ran to the back door to help Booker up the back steps, but Booker was not there. I felt a shiver of melancholy runs through me body. Dottie said her son David and his wife Anne are expecting a baby in February 2010. Dottie also said her brother Ed has been coughing his head off. His doctor says he has "dirty lungs" and that he has a nodule on his lung too. His doctor thinks it is scar tissue, but he will examine it tomorrow. I thought the story about the bbq sounded like the "Little Engine That Thought She Could." It described American resolve. I was especially happy the photographer got a picture with a toothpick in Dad's mouth. I thought the writer did a good job too. Sunny dry and in the 80s in Skokie. Leona
I have many MONARCHS. I have chrylasis, caterpillars and some butterflies too. It is fun. It is all because of the milkweed. I bought a few plants and the leaves are being eaten fast. I have shared many with teachers, family, friends, etc This sure is fun.
I dug up two milkweed plants in Bolingbrook, IL and planted them in my garden yesterday evening. I hope to have Monarch butterflies for my new pets. You are an inspiration to me, Viola. This is our first day of school...we are filled to the rafters. Community colleges are always an important option for jobless individuals in such a bad economy. The Emeritus program assistant had a home health care person write $6,000 worth of checks against her account and her father's account. She had to change all of her/his accounts and she is leary of hiring someone who is not bonded to take care of her frail, 95 year-old father. Stacy, it did not surprise me that Marley thought school was boring. Can you get her teacher to design a more creative curriculum for Marley? Gorgeous, sunny, cool day in Skokie. Leona
Hi Guys, You need to become a "member" to be able to post your own blogs. That way you don't have to just comment on other peoples. You just need to set up an individual profile and password and then you will be listed on the side as a contributor. Hopefully this helps! Let me know if you have questions!
Leona-so sorry about Booker! He's a part of all my good memories at your house! Love you!
One comment on middle school-the roller coaster is eternal so parents play such a key role. You want to be grown up and yet you love being a kid at times. You're a sevvy one year and the big men on campus in eighth, THEN back to a new Freshman. All this prepares us for the world of work someday. I'm going to Atchison this weekend for our GNO annual weekend. I always enjoy the fun and friendship with this crew. We all attended a polka party and meal last weekend and J.D. Nelson and I won the polka contest!!! Karis is finishing her 2nd week at the Alco distribution ctr in Abilene and seems to really like it. She leaves the house at 5:00 but is home by 3:00.
